Dwarves and Elves and Hobbits there were

The Hobbit !!!! Here are two drafts of Tolkien's imaginary creatures from Middle-Earth. Wait for many more !

Through the Looking-Glass

I started this one for my boyfriend who'd asked me to draw him something that I liked. I found the model on Anne Stokes's website (www.annestokes.com) and instantly found it amazing. I'm afraid the copy isn't as good (alas) as I wanted it to be, but still there it is.

Fire Breathers (Part 4)

This one too is a copy of Anne Stokes. Except I personalized it a bit ... Hope you'll like it ! Once again, pencil on paper.

Fire Breathers (Part 3)

I tried ink today, with the new kit I got for Christmas. It's another copy of Anne Stokes. Looks kind of good, I'm proud ! But the worst part is that just when I was done, a drop of ink casually fell on top of the wing and disfigurated the portrait ... Thank god I took the picture before that !

Fire Breathers (Part 2)

Another copy of Anne Stokes ... What I like about this hatchling is that it looks old inside the egg ... Like it spent its whole life just staring mildly over the brim of its cocoon.

Fire Breathers (Part 1)

This is my favorite picture of all. Is is yet another copy of Anne Stokes, pencil on paper. It's the start of a long series of dragon pictures ...

Fallen Angel

Another copy from Anne Stokes's work (again). I love the gothic universe, as reflected in my drawings :) I'm particularly proud of this one; plus the woman looks a bit like me ...

Water Creatures

I love taking step-by-step pictures of my work, because it immortalizes the great feeling you get when you see your picture take shape and your shapes come to life. This is a copy of Anne Stokes's Water Dragon.

Embrace the Illusion

These come from the same sketchbook, I drew them a long time ago. I've got many more, but these are those I like the most.

To start with ...

These are some pictures I drew when I was little. The sketchbook has been sitting on my desk for ages, it's high time it was opened now. These drawings just shot out of my mind, they're not copies. Sorry, I haven't figured out a way to rotate them yet ... :)

Welcome !

Hello everyone !
I don't know how you ended up on my page, but I'm happy that you did. Maybe you're a bit like me, like a wanderer in this world. Like you don't really belong. I chose to express myself through sheets of paper, pencils, ink and ideas, because we all have to speak our minds at some point, don't we. Some ideas aren't mine, it's true. I copy a lot from Anne Stokes and Arthur Rackam, or illustrations from old children's books, because they make my mind travel. Maybe my sketches will make your mind elope too ... who knows ?
