Mechanical Humans (Part 3: Droids from Star Wars)
Hello ! No need to introduce these two guys (I hope), our dearly beloved R2D2 and C3PO from George Lucas's Star Wars saga. Originally I'd planned to draw them separately and had started with R2D2, but I found that a bit counter-logic to see one without the other so I added C3PO in the background. Enjoy !
Mechanical HUmans (Part 2: Hel from Metropolis)
Hello ! This mechanical creation comes from my favorite film, Fritz Lang's Metropolis. I hope you've seen it or will find the time to watch it someday, it really does something to you :) And anyway this is Inventor Rotwang's creation, der Machine-Mensch, the machine-man or in this case, woman. Enjoy !
Mechanical Humans (Part 1: Hugo Cabret)
Hello ! I've just started a series of automatons and robots from movies and books and so on. THis is my first try, it's the automaton in Scorsese's Hugo Cabret that came out last year (or the year before I'm not sure). Anyway, enjoy !

Patronus
Hey! This picture I'm particularly proud of; it's a lone deer in the snow with light pouring from above. How philosophical ! If you can, try looking at it with reversed colors, in negative, it looks just like Harry Potter's patronus. Enjoy !
Sitting Fairy
Another master-of-the-obvious title ... It's a fairy sitting on a rock surrounded by dead branches. It's a copy of Anne Stokes, pencil on paper, which I drew on a plane. Enjoy!
Wildlife
These pictures are copied from photographs I found in a Kodak album entitled "capture the beauty of nature", again pencil on paper. Enjoy !

Fire Breathers (Part 12)
This one is a A4-size pencil on paper copy of Anne Stokes. It's been said that the dragon head resembles the one from the cover of the Eragon books... i'll leave you to judge. Enjoy anyway !

Steampunk Cat
Hello guys! This one is a copy of a picture I found on Meme Reader and instantly loved. It's a cat in a steampunk aviator harness :)
The Fortune Teller
Hello everyone! I got asked by a friend to copy a work of Victoria Frances, so I chose this picture of a fortune teller and drew a simplified version at lunch break yesterday.

Dark Clown
"Once upon a time in a daymare
Dying to meet you, litlle child, enter enter this sideshow
"Ladies and gentlemen
Be heartlessly welcome!
To Cirque De Morgue
And what a show we have for you tonight!"
Restless souls will put on their dancing shoes
Mindless ghouls with lots of limbs to lose
Illusionists, contortionist,
Tightrope - walkers thightening the noose "
Nightwish

Sounds of a Playground Fading
I had a few minutes today at lunch break so I copied the famous In Flames's Sounds of a Playground Fading album cover. It's not that good, but I my mind was on something else :)
Left: the original album cover. Right: my quick copy
Now that I look at the two of them simultaneously I realize how much my copy sucks; but I promised myself to post all of my work, so there it is, for you to judge.

Welcome To The Black Parade
A last tribute to this awesome band My Chemical Romance which split up a few months ago, unfortunately.
Apocalyptic Love
I recently started copying album covers. Here's my first tryout for Slash's solo record Apocalyptic Love, with awesome Myles Kennedy for vocals. Enjoy!
PS: sorry for the wobbliness I drew it on a train :(

Fire Breathers (Part 11)
Hello! This one I drew on a bus between Oxford and London. My friend says I dozed off halfway through the picture, haha ! Enjoy :)

Fire Breather (Part 10)
This one I drew on demand for someone who needed to illustrate a poetry book he'd written. If he ever gets published...
Unfortunately during the making of this drawing i had a teeny tiny inkcident which means that my other drawing of a dragon stuck in a pentagram is destroyed (it was a copy of Anne Stokes). i'll post the ruined picture anyway, you can still make out some outlines.
The Crow (No Owl or Dove, alas)
Here's an extract of a large study of crows and ravens I drew between classes last week. I like this one the best!

Halo Dancer
I found the model for this drawing on the internet, and replaced the face with that of a friend's who I find very beautiful. I hope you'll think the same of my sketch!
The Lady and The Wolf
Well it's... a lady and a wolf! Obviously. This one is dedicated to a friend of mine who's fond of wolves.
Memories Improved
Hello! I added a background to this girl portrait I had already posted, at a friend's request :) Enjoy!

Memories
Sometimes you set out to draw something, and end up drawing something totally different. Here, it's due to listening to the song Ghost Of Days Gone By (Alter Bridge) which made me draw, well ... a ghost of days gone by. Enjoy :)
Dragon Tattoo
Before putting ink into the skin, I put it into the paper. A very classy way of saying that those are going to be tattoos!
Lost ...
This picture is very dear to me. It's a gothicized portrait of someone I used to know and miss a lot. Whiff of thought to my dear Aliena !

Dead Wizard's Set
Quiet, and empty. Is the dragon even alive ? In my dream, the desk belongs to a wizard who died a long time ago.
Wonderlard (Part 8)
The truth about Alice ... a beautiful daydreamer. THis drawing just shot out of my brain. Unfortunately I drew it on a tiny piece of scrap paper and didn't even finish it ... just wanted to share it with you, whoever you are.

(A kite above) A Graveyard Grey
leaving Alice for a bit, after a series of failed attempts to draw the perfect Queen of Hearts. Although I did a pretty good picture of a wooden Alice, which I'll post in no time.
So there is my new artwork, in which I tried to catch a glimpse of the feeling of macabre peace and quiet that haunts my favorite places in the world - graveyards. Enjoy! :)
